Gmail labels in a nutshell

  • Non‑exclusive: a thread can have multiple labels
  • Inbox visibility: labeled emails can remain in Inbox until archived
  • Hierarchy: parent/child labels supported

How SuperInbox fits this system

  • Default categories*: during intial setup, we add three labels to your inbox— To respond, FYI, Marketing (your existing labels are unchanged)
  • Automatic sorting: new emails are analyzed and assigned the most relevant category label
  • Choose behavior per label:
The thread stays in Inbox with the category label applied.
The thread is auto‑archived and lives only under its label.
You can add one or several labels for each email thread depending on your needs.

  • Free plan: the 3 default labels are applied automatically and cannot be changed.
  • Paid plans: replace ours and create your own labels to match your workflow
